Renovated traditional farm grounds

The building is part of a holiday home cooperative of 3 buildings, 6 residences. It used to be a farm with large farmhouse, traditional pigeonnier tower and stables. La Chillaudie 1 is located in the renovated stables building. You can easily imagine the rural lifestyle with traditional wooden floors and beam ceilings. 

Endless peace & quiet 

All around the grounds are hilly fields, which you can admire either from the pool or the lovely terrace. In the summertime, enjoy the swallows towering above the pool, looking for a refreshing dive. Enjoy a walk between sunflower fields, buzzing with bees. 

Active lifestyle

Though the environment lures you into a simple and quiet lifestyle, La Chillaudie also offers a wide range of activities. The hills provide a challenge for well-seasoned walkers & bikers. The on-site swimming pool offers a refreshing morning dive. There is also a tennis court and ping-pong table. The Dordogne offers many streams in the neighbourhood, for the kayaker in you. 

Local culture 

A big recommendation is the Friday morning market in Ribérac. For fresh local foods and artistic trinkets, it's the place to be. Every first Sunday of the month, Verteillac offers a "Vide Grenier", a bazaar of vintage and antics. The ancient towns Brantôme, Aubeterre-Sur-Dronne and Bourdeilles provide scenic walks, where you can enjoy the typical architecture, as well as the local food culture. A bit further down the road, visit larger cities Bergerac, Angoulême and even Bordeaux, for a taste of the region. 

Local foods include Confit du canard, foie gras, dessert wines, truffles, cannelé de bordeaux and so on.
